The Goods/Bads of Typography

In typography leading is the distance between the each letter in a word sometimes the leading can be very short and sometimes the leading can be very large. Making the leading very small can make the words hard to read it can be difficult for the audience. However, making the leading very large can also make it harder for the audience to read words.

Examples of bad leading in typography

This is a bad example of leading in typography because it shows how close together the lines are making it really hard to read. you have to be careful when making the leading too small because the ascending and descending letters could combine together making the word unrecognisable.

This is a good example of leading in typography because it shows the right amount of distance between the lines. This makes it really easy for the audience to read and also non on the ascending and descending letter join together making it a clear paragraph for the audience to read.
