The job has many responsibility such as generating and researching ideas for programs, selecting music appropriate to the program and undertaking editing and interviewing. the job sounds very time consuming but it sounds like a good way to lead a life career.What are the qualifications that i need for this job?A radio or media production degree is not necessary but it is very ambitious to your employer that you have taken a course in the media sector. Many radio producers also have a masters and a degree in the certain field which can help them stand out more tot he employers. although it is not necessary it may help you become entered into the radio industry , then you will be able to work your way up into the radio production.
Salary
the salaries are every dependent on the working hours and location. A starting salary can vary between £13,000- £16,000. within the BBC salaries could rise to £15,700 - £20,000. once you have a high level of experience salaries could go as high as £37,00 and senior producers could get up to £45,000 on the other hand if you become a free lancer you can decide on your own salary which could earn you £150- £300 a day.
