Colour theory can be very important when you are looking at something that can catch your attention for example I have chosen theese four posters to represent the colour theory used
The first poster uses the technique called triad this means that the designer has used three complete colours equally spaced around the colour wheel . Because they are so different it makes everything stand out the orange stands out on the blue background and the white texts stands out on the vibrant orange design. The designer has also used the technique called monochromatic in the orange design. Monochromatic mean that the designer uses one segment of the colour wheel but uses different variations of saturatikns and lightness
.
The second poster uses the technique of triad again where he used three opposite colours to make everything stand out. The designer has also used the complementary technique with the black and white on the poster which completely contradict each other to make the poster seem proffesional
On the next poster the designer has used the monochromatic technique where they have used one segment of the colour wheel but uses variations of saturation nd lightness the designer has also used the analogous technique where they use colour colours adjacent to each other on the colour wheel.
In the final later the designer has used the tretadic technique where they use two sets of complementary colours. The designer has also used the the split complementary technique where they use colours adjecent to the main complementary colour on the colour wheel they have also used the triad technique where they use colours opposite each other on the colour wheel to make everything stand out and catch your eye on the poster
